What is Agorism?

- Agreement between those involved

- Absense of imposed regulations

- Optionality

Agora is the ancient greek word for marketplace. Agorism advocates free markets.

What makes markets work? People come to markets to find things. Suppliers offer their goods and services. At the market, supply and demand meet. Things work out when those who want things are in agreement with those who offer things.

What makes markets free? Agorism argues that things work better, the less such arrangements are regulated from above. In free markets, demand and supply work out which arrangements are most satisfactory.

What's new? What has been missing until now, is the philosophical aspect. Free markets come with a philosophy that puts users in control and that advocate freedom of choice. That philosophy is called optionality.
